In this role you will join a multi-disciplined environmental team providing onsite support at the client office.What You'll Be Doing:Assist client with executing specific environmental requirements in support of their expanding construction program including:perform environmental reporting and project planning tasks in support of engineering, planning, and construction teamsconduct detailed environmental analysis of facility master plans, including identifying and assessing environmental impacts of specific projects and activitiesPerform desktop environmental reviews of proposed project sites during project planningassist with appropriate levels of NEPA review for each proposed government actionprepare and/or review programmatic Environmental Assessments and all necessary associated NEPA documentationcontribute to RFP and scopes of work development and review of cost estimatessupport Federal client in engaging with the public and stakeholders, including drafting public notices, attending public meetings, and providing assistance with drafting responses to public commentscoordinate and consult with relevant federal, state, and local agencies, including U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).Conduct site visits to assess federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirementsPerform reviews of wetland assessments and delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments, and Coastal Zone Management Act consistency determinations.Review Phase II Environmental Site Assessment and Environmental Site Investigation reportsReview Stormwater Pollution Prevention PlansAssist with responding to environmental-related Requests for Information from construction contractorsAdvise client on matters related to compliance with environmental regulations and standards.What Required Skills You'll Bring:BS Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning or related field5+ years NEPA and/or Section 106 experience in support of multi-$M Federal client construction programs. (8+ years preferred)Experience in producing NEPA-related documentationAbility to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project. US Citizenship requiredWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Broad knowledge and experience with NEPA/environmental compliance support for Federal facilities and related infrastructure construction projectsBroad knowledge and experience with environmental investigations and cleanup for Federal facilities and related infrastructure construction projectsDeep familiarity with environmental standards, procedures, and approval processes, including U.S. Coast Guard Environmental Planning Implementing ProceduresCertification as PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI)Developed soft skills working as part of a team with Federal clientExcellent writing and oral communication skills.Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a projectSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
