Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift MRI Technologist for a Level I trauma hospital requiring Siemens experience and at least 1 year of Level I trauma MRI experience.

Job Details

• 13-week assignment in the MRI department of a Level I trauma teaching hospital,
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, Friday-Saturday-Sunday from 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM,
• No call required,
• Adult ICU, Pediatrics, and Adult Acute Care patient populations with a 1:1 patient ratio,
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment with Cerner PowerChart, McKesson, Radnet, and Powershare systems,
• Performs MRI studies including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging,
• Mandatory floating required, which may include serving as a Patient Observer/Sitter across units,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience with Siemens required,
• Level I trauma experience required,
• BLS and ARRT (MR or R) or ARMRIT certification required,
• Cerner and McKesson experience preferred,
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred,
• Previous travel experience required, though first-time travelers with 2 years of Level I trauma experience will be considered,
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs and remain highly active throughout the shift,
• Active MO or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Performs preparation and/or administration of contrast media and starts peripheral IVs,
• Follows isolation precautions and PPE protocols due to routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses,
• Located in a 24/7 healthcare facility requiring flexibility for rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather work,
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract,
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none permitted during the first week due to orientation,
• Re-orientation not required for returning travelers within 18 months of a previous assignment,
• Travelers may work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a mandatory 6-month break is required,
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible; those residing 51-74 miles away may be offered the local rate
