TechServe Alliance is the national trade association representing the IT and engineering staffing and solutions industry — a $40B+ sector central to the U.S. technology workforce. Our Insurance Services operation is a specialized subsidiary that provides property & casualty insurance solutions exclusively to staffing and technology solutions companies nationwide.
We are not a typical insurance agency. Our clients — company owners, CFOs, and operations leaders — are engaged, sophisticated, and in regular contact with our team. We don’t see clients once a year at renewal and disappear; we build ongoing relationships that keep our clients protected and informed throughout the year. That cadence demands a different kind of team member.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team — someone with a background in high-touch client service who is ready to build a career in insurance. No prior insurance experience is required. We will provide full training, and we will support your pre-licensing education and exam costs as you earn your Property & Casualty license.

What You Will Do
CLIENT SERVICE & COMMUNICATION
Serve as a responsive, professional point of contact for a dedicated client base of staffing and technology companies
Handle inbound client inquiries via phone and email with urgency, accuracy, and warmth
Proactively reach out to clients on coverage updates, document requests, and policy milestones — not just at renewal
Support Account Managers in preparing client-facing materials, renewal packages, and coverage summaries
ACCOUNT COORDINATION
Maintain accurate client records, policy documentation, and activity logs in our agency management system (AMS360 — training provided)
Process certificates of insurance, endorsements, and other routine policy transactions with attention to detail
Track open items and follow-up tasks to ensure nothing falls through the cracks for your clients
Coordinate with carriers, underwriters, and internal team members to resolve service issues efficiently
TEAM & OPERATIONS SUPPORT
Participate in regular team standups and contribute to a collaborative, fast-moving service operation
Identify process gaps or recurring client questions that can be addressed proactively
Grow into expanded account management responsibilities as you gain experience and licensure
Travel occasionally for team meetings — including for initial onboarding and training
What We are Looking For
REQUIRED
2+ years of customer service experience in a professional, high-touch environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and client relationships simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills — you write clearly, speak confidently, and follow up consistently
Experience with CRM or client management software; comfort learning new platforms quickly
A service ethic that goes beyond transaction processing — you notice what clients need before they ask
A PLUS (NOT REQUIRED)
Experience in staffing, PEO, ASO, benefits administration, financial services, professional services, or any industry serving business clients
Familiarity with insurance terminology or exposure to agency operations
Experience managing a client portfolio or serving as a named point of contact for accounts
