Project Procurement ManagerThe Woodlands, TX, United States | req32896What you will enjoy doing:Participate in the Sales Kick-off meetingInitiate and execute the Procurement Kick-off meetingsAssess Procurement Risks during the executionCreate the project vendor list and coordinates the Procurement and shipping scheduleBe responsible and accountable for the Project Procurement StrategyPrepare, issue and execute of global inquiries as well as the global bid comparisonCreate and control the monthly discipline report (MDR)Qualification of alternative materials or sources and ensuring financial and quality objectives/requirements are clearly identified and metPrepare Requests for Proposals and oversee proposal process for assigned materials/servicesEnsure manufacturing and global contracts are administered in accordance with contract termsRecommend new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time deliveryCollects and communicates commercial lessons learnt within Procurement as well as in Cross functionsCoordinate, control and steer the procurement activities inside a virtual teamWhat makes you great:Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; MBA desirable5-10 years' experience as a Commodity Manager of a Procurement organization with global procurement responsibility beneficial or Project Manager in a global operating engineering company or combination of related experiencesExperience with ERP business system is required for this roleC.P.M. (NAPM Certified Purchasing Manager) and CPIM (APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management) strongly preferredEffective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the organizationAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations as well as the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals at a professional levelEffective presentation skills, including organizing and making presentations, and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometryAbility to correctly apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, conversions of weight/dimensions/currency, ability to draw and interpret graphsMust understand accounting principles as applicable to procurementMust possess strong financial analysis skills including but not limited to cost and price analysis, analyzing foreign currency impacts on material/service costs, and calculating time value of moneyWhy you will love working with us:Linde Engineering Americas (LEA) is a member of the Linde Engineering Division of Linde plc.
