Details Work in the Diagnostic Imaging department performing CT scans on infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday-Sunday, 19:00-07:30 Operates multi-slice CT scanners for diagnostic imaging exams Siemens and Philips equipment experience preferred Performs IV/angio-cath starts and administers contrast media via power injection Utilizes image display and post-processing including 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering) Epic EMR experience required May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit needs Requirements Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training program Minimum 1 year of CT experience required ARRT (CT) registry required; those without ARRT (CT) must hold ARRT (R), ARRT (N), NMTCB, or ARRT (RT) with documented CT clinical experience and must obtain ARRT (CT) certification within 6 months of hire Current BLS certification (AHA, traditional; RQI not accepted) License required if applicable Proficient in radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media and peripheral IV starts Epic charting experience required 2 years of relevant experience preferred for consideration Additional Information Prepares and instructs patients for diagnostic exams using age-appropriate communication Adjusts scanning factors and patient positioning to minimize artifacts and adheres to ALARA principle for radiation dose optimization Verifies imaging orders and protocols in the EMR and ensures accurate documentation and image labeling Prescreens patients for contrast sensitivity and contraindications Collaborates with scheduling staff and may assist with patient transport or lift team coordination Participates in quality control checks and maintains clean, organized equipment and work areas May participate in teaching technical and clinical skills to radiology students and residents COVID vaccination proof required for consideration with no exemptions accepted Candidates must complete required compliance modules prior to start First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level Returning staff must have a gap of 6 months since last assignment to be eligible Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction Requested time off must be submitted upfront and not exceed two weeks Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months are required; charge RN references are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-750847.
