Employment Type: Full-time Job Requirements Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering Registered Professional Engineer License required Minimum 10 years of experience preferred Ability to manage projects; PM experience preferred Ability to lead electrical design projects and a team of design engineers Demonstrate project management skills Experience using AutoCAD, ETAP/​SKM, and Revit required Familiar with HCAI requirements Self‑motivated, inquisitive, detail‑oriented, adept at looking at underlying issues, willing to work in a fast‑paced environment Strong record‑keeping and organizational skills Job Responsibilities Prior experience working on Healthcare/Hospitals buildings Perform field surveys for design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports Prepare electrical schematic designs Design power single‑line and riser diagrams Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/​SKM Select lighting fixtures and power equipment Perform lighting and power circuiting Design and coordinate the lighting control system Prepare fire alarm device layout based on the International Fire Code and NFPA 72 Design fire alarm riser diagrams, calculations, and sequence of operations Prepare enlarged plans, elevations, schedules, and details Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards Work with California Electrical Code and Energy Standards to design medium‑ and low‑voltage electrical systems Coordinate among disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, architectural), working in close contact with the entire design team Edit specifications for projects Project Management Manage multiple large‑scale projects involving senior engineers and sub‑consultants Provide mentorship to design engineers Prepare proposals independently for clients Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients Construction Administration Review and respond to RFIs Review equipment submittals Perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports Benefits 13 observed company paid holidays a year Employer‑paid group life insurance Supplemental insurance plans (Accident, Critical Illness, Pet Insurance) Tuition & training assistance 401(k) program offers immediate vesting and employer match 100% up to 4% of compensation Equal Employment Opportunity Legence and its affiliate companies are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
