Journeyman Electrician - MSP AirportSchedule: Monday - Friday (2:00pm - 10:30pm)Wage: $43-$48 per hour plus quarterly bonusesMUST have Journeyman or Master Electrician LicenseSUMMARY OVERVIEWThe Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the airport facilities. This role involves working on a variety of electrical components, including lighting systems, power distribution, and control systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. You must adhere to all electrical codes and safety standards, troubleshoot electrical issues, and perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks. Additionally, you may be involved in upgrading electrical systems and providing technical advice and support for electrical projects.RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixturesEnsure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and safety regulationsDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problemInspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and the need for adjustment, repair, or replacementPlan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codesDirect and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixturesRead and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematicsPerform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systemsAdhere to all safety policies and procedures, and wear appropriate safety gearCoordinate with other airport departments on electrical projects and repairsManage a schedule of preventive maintenance and periodic checks on electrical systemsUse a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipmentRespond to emergency calls for electrical repairsWork with project managers on large scale electrical projectsKeep detailed records of work performed and materials usedExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United StatesMust have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving recordValid Journeyman Electrician licenseProven experience as a journeyman electrician, with a strong background in industrial or commercial electrical systemsKnowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagramsCommunicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
