Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with critical needs. This role involves monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor patients and report any significant changes in condition.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist with procedures, including cardiac monitoring and medication drips.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar setting.
• Current South Carolina RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.
