The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing hands-on technical support for nVent offices. This role serves as the primary onsite IT resource, ensuring a reliable, secure, and productive technology experience for employees.The technician provides end-user support, conference room support, device lifecycle management, and Smart Hands services for infrastructure technologies, acting as the local extension of centralized IT teams. Working closely with Service Desk, Network, Infrastructure, Server, Security, and Application teams, this role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting workplace and site technologies while ensuring rapid resolution of technology issues that impact business operations.What You Will Experience In This Position:End User SupportSmart Hands Infrastructure SupportConference Room & Collaboration Technology SupportSite Technology SupportIncident and Service Request ManagementDevice Lifecycle and Asset ManagementSecurity and Compliance SupportYou Have:Required: Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.3+ years of IT support experience in a corporate environment.Experience supporting business offices with 100+ employees.Strong desktop and mobile device troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of: Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID / Active Directory, networking fundamentals, mobile device support, printer and peripheral support, conference room technologies.Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.Experience with SCCM, Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management platforms.Familiarity with network switches, wireless infrastructure, and structured cabling.Experience providing Smart Hands support for infrastructure teams.Experience supporting Teams Rooms and modern workplace technologies.Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or multi-site enterprise environments.We Have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day. nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Pay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
