We have a readiness to satisfy the guests and meet and exceed their expectations.What you'll do:The Dishwasher position will be responsible for the following:Kitchen Setup and MaintenanceSet up dish station daily and test soap and sanitation levels using testing stripsPut away all dishes and equipment from previous shiftMaintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen and dish areasSweep prep kitchen and line areas regularlyInventory and Storage ManagementReceive and properly store requisitions from Fairfax (pasta, dessert, wine) and Catering (cheese, pomodoro, meatballs)Organize walk-in cooler using First In, First Out (FIFO) protocolRotate products and consolidate containers to maximize efficiencyProcess all deliveries by removing items from delivery containers and placing in appropriate storage with proper labeling and datingHandle farmers market deliveries with special attention to freshness and proper storageWaste Management and OrganizationEmpty garbage and recycling throughout shift for line and prep kitchenBreak down cardboard boxes and stack market cratesMaintain clean and organized work areas at all timesExterior MaintenanceSweep parking lot weekly to remove debris and maintain professional appearancePressure wash parking lot weekly to ensure cleanliness and safetyFood Preparation SupportReplenish mise en place on the line to support kitchen operationsComplete daily prep tasks including peeling garlic, picking parsley, and cleaning lettuce (quantities based on daily needs)Taste and quality-check all prep items brought to stationUnderstand produce freshness standards, texture, and flavor guidelines as established by ChefCommunication and TeamworkCommunicate with chef on duty regarding break times and shift completionAlert chef when station supplies are running low (soap, towels, sanitizer, garbage bags, etc.)Maintain positive, professional attitude and work collaboratively with all team membersAsk for and offer assistance as needed in our teaching kitchen environmentPerformance ExpectationsWork with urgency and efficiency in a fast-paced environmentMaintain professional behavior at all times, especially in the open kitchen settingPresent professional appearance with attention to hygiene and cleanlinessUnderstand that all team members are "on stage" and contribute to the restaurant's imageFood Safety and QualityFollow all health department regulations regarding food safetyAdhere to temperature, chemical, and physical safety measuresMaintain organized station according to established systemsUnderstand the importance of producing beautiful, consistent, delicious foodCheck produce for freshness, texture, and flavor according to Chef guidelinesFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
