Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department - Registry, Days

Be a part of a world‑class academic healthcare system, University of Chicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial, as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This position is 100% onsite and will be based in the greater Chicagoland area. Essential Job Functions Collaborate closely with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patients’ care plans and outcomes. Demonstrate necessary skills and knowledge to provide complex nursing care and delegate tasks to other team members according to unit competencies. Maintain and monitor the quality of patient care and patient satisfaction. Pursue professional development opportunities independently and accurately. Assume responsibility to ensure daily operations of the patient care center are efficient and effective. Work within accepted service standards and support the Vision of Ingalls Hospital. Partner with other patient‑care team members and proactively address individual patient, family, and physician needs, exceeding expectations and employing appropriate customer relations. Understand, follow, and actively support the philosophy, mission, and vision of Ingalls Hospital. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standard of care. Observe and adhere to all corporate compliance requirements; communicate issues as they arise to the appropriate parties. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate (ADN). Current RN licensure from the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation or a valid temporary permit to practice nursing in Illinois. Current Basic Life Support certification (Health Care Provider Recognition). Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Emergency Department.
