Civil Engineer (0-3 Years)

Overview Coffman Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer with zero to three years of experience who wishes to gain site development experience for a variety of projects, learn how to develop new business relationships, and work in a professional, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be an outgoing, enthusiastic self-starter, with a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team. Responsibilities Work on general site engineering activities including creating conceptual plans, preparing construction plans, visiting construction sites, and providing technical assistance during design and construction. Collaborate with senior civil engineers and other engineering disciplines and architects; assist with site plans, grading and drainage plans, and storm water management design. Prepare water and sanitary sewer utility plans, ensure ADA accessibility, and support other associated improvements. Utilize AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D drafting systems; leverage MS Office programs for project tasks. Contribute as a proactive team member and develop effective technical writing and communication skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar ABET-accredited program Civil Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) required or pending Zero to three years’ experience Experience and/or interest in site engineering and working with multiple disciplines and construction sites Design skills for site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and related improvements Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D drafting systems and standards preferred Experience with MS Office programs Desire to work as a pro-active team player Effective technical writing and communication skills Excellent time management skills; positive, can-do attitude Not eligible for sponsorship Compensation Expected annual salary of $76,000 - $90,000. #J-18808-Ljbffr Coffman Engineers
