Job Title Ready Mix Driver | Req ID: 17251 | HR Contact: Katherine Therese HENNESSY | Location: Acoma Office CO About the Role Amrize is hiring full-time Ready Mix Drivers for multiple locations in Denver and surrounding cities. This position ensures the safe and timely delivery of concrete to the customer at the proper slump and to the proper job site. This can also include beginning the order process for additional orders and encouraging the customer to utilize value-added ingredients such as fiber, retardant, color, or other additives. What You’ll Accomplish Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete to the customer at the proper slump and to the proper job site. This can also include beginning the order process for additional orders and encouraging the customer to utilize value-added ingredients such as fiber, retardant, color or other additives. Return to the assigned batch plant in a timely manner for additional loads. Deliver concrete as the customer specifies, after determining that customer's requests are safe and possible. Communicate truck/job status to dispatch. Maintain good public relations with customers. Maintain the appearance of the truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil, hydraulic, coolant, and fuel. Perform minor repairs to the truck as needed. Maintain the load in transit to the job. Add fiber reinforcement to the load as directed. Inspect load during wash down and report any problems. Complete washout procedures both during and at end-of-day; clean the truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in the mixer and on the truck; may spray surfaces of the truck with protective compound to prevent adherence of concrete. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation of the truck and mixer. Ensure that safety, compliance, environmental, and DOT requirements are followed at all times. Drive ready mix truck, check loads, wash the mixer top to bottom, deliver concrete to various job sites, load and dump truck. Maintain proper fluid levels and air pressure in tires. Complete all necessary paperwork; assist with plant work as required by plant management. What We’re Looking For High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must pass DOT drug screen and obtain and retain a DOT physical card. Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. Excellent driving skills. Additional Requirements Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
