Responsibilities Provide individual or group tutoring in writing, math, health science, science, study skills, test‑taking skills, and other subjects as required by The Learning Center. Conduct tutoring sessions both in‑person and virtually in classrooms or through Supplemental Instruction (SI). Assist students and community members with computer use and computer‑based tutorials. Document visits, maintain accurate records, and support data collection and reporting. Participate in tutor orientation, education workshops, and department meetings. Promote The Learning Center across campus and contribute to the development and presentation of workshops or class presentations. Help maintain and improve The Learning Center's resources, performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in at least one subject area listed above. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal ability. Experience working with diverse groups of students. Ability to learn and complete required duties, including attending tutor education workshops and meetings. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical experience is required. Position Details Location: Kodiak College campus, Kodiak. Flexible on‑site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. The position is part‑time, non‑exempt, and temporary staff. Successful candidates will be placed on the Temporary staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77_9 based on education and experience.
