HVAC Service Technician
Skilled Trades Services is currently looking for an HVAC Service Technician for Chicago, IL.
Entry Level HVAC Service Technician Title: HVAC Service Technician
Department: Service
Reports to: Owner/Service Manager
Salary: Pay is between $25-32 depending on experience.
Job Summary: Provide maintenance and repair service on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards. Diagnose, assess, and repair issues with furnaces and/or boilers. Heat pumps are a plus but not required.
Minimum requirements: Minimum 1-3 years of residential maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
- Have general knowledge of HVAC residential equipment
- Valid clean driver's license, clear background and drug test
- Universal EPA certification within 3 months of employment
- Ability to operate power and hand tools
- Willingness to invest in tools used in the service of HVAC equipment
- Have basic HVAC tools a plus
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Willingness to invest time in training and development
- Ability to record work order details including action taken or needed
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Ability to explain, recommend, and answer customer's questions with confidence
- Prioritize and manage daily workload to ensure successful completion
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Energetic personality
- Ability to work independently
- On the job training provided. Company vehicle provided for service request completion.
