Part-Time Laboratory Assistant, BiologyThe Part-Time Laboratory Assistant, Biology is a part-time position responsible to the Life Sciences Department Chair. This is a part-time position and can work up to 18 hours per week.Essential Functions and Duties:Setting up and taking down equipment/handouts needed for classes.Cleaning and storing of equipment.Inventorying of materials and equipment.Helping in the recovery of waste for disposal.Documenting amounts and types of waste recovered.Work as a team with professional and peer tutors to help and support each other.Attend required meetings.Report problems to the Department Chair.Perform related duties as assigned.Follow all policies and procedures established by the Center for Anatomy & Physiology Resource Room.Competencies:Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIndividual ContributorPhysical Demands: Work Environment: Travel Required: NoIf travel is required, the candidate must have and maintain a current, valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving recordRequired Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExpectations:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
