Job TitleJanitorial StaffLocationAhoskie CampusSalary$15.00 HourlyJob DescriptionRegular preventive building maintenance to keep all classrooms, hallways, restrooms and offices clean and sanitary on a continuing basis. To perform duties required in the daily operations and maintenance of institutional buildings and grounds.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Move, set up, and install furniture to meet the needs of the College and related functions.Assist in waste and refuse removal from campus.Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish all tile and floors.Dust, vacuum, sweep and mop offices and classrooms.Clean and restock restrooms.Clean windows and frame (especially upper level windows and frames).Vacuum and clean carpets and walk-off mats.Assist other employees within the department when needed.Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Custodian, Forman, or Supervisor.Participates in education and training courses, as requested.Minimum QualificationsAbility to work and communicate with faculty, staff, students, and the general publicUnderstanding of the various aspects of cleaningExperience in janitorial fieldValid North Carolina driver's license and good driving recordRoanoke-Chowan Community College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, sex, religion, disability, age, political affiliation or belief, genetic information, veteran status, or citizenship status (except in those special circumstances permitted or mandated by law).
