Position Description: Title: General ManagerReports to: Director of OperationsPosition Summary: The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring a smooth and polished guest experience while driving profitability and team engagement. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of hospitality, and an ability to foster collaboration across departments. The General Manager is a key culture carrier who upholds DDP Restaurant Group standards, builds and develops high-performing teams, and ensures operational excellence across all service periods.Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & CultureBuild and foster a respectful, positive, and collaborative team environmentLead daily pre-shift meetings for the FOH teamProvide regular feedback and conduct performance reviewsAdminister disciplinary actions and performance management as neededPartner with HR and the Director of Operations on hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processesMaintain accurate and compliant personnel recordsGuest Experience & Service ExcellenceEnsure guests receive responsive, welcoming, and exceptional service at all timesOversee floor operations including door, kitchen pass, bar pass, and table maintenanceTouch tables during service and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptlyMonitor and manage To Go operations, ensuring accurate order execution and guest satisfactionOperations & Financial OversightMonitor and manage labor in proportion to sales goals achieving budgeted COGSApprove and oversee hourly FOH scheduling and manager schedulingManage daily sales reporting, cash deposits, discounts, and compsReview and audit server checkouts and tipsTroubleshoot POS issues and oversee menu updates in coordination with FOH/BOHManage all purchasing and service/supply needs for the FOH maintaining COGS budgetCompliance & Facility ManagementEnsure compliance with MDH Food Safety, sanitary practices, and local/federal lawsMaintain cleanliness standards and communicate facility maintenance needsComplete required injury reports and manage illness logs in a timely and compliant mannerEnsure the use of proper safety protocols and internal systems for injuries, PTO, and call-outsQualifications & Expectations3+ years of experience in restaurant management or similar leadership roleStrong understanding of financials, labor management, and operational metricsAbility to multitask, troubleshoot, and stay calm under pressureEffective communicator with team, guests, and cross-functional departmentsExperience in performance management, scheduling, and hiringKnowledge of POS systems and back-office softwareAvailability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to lift up to 30 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods Additional Information: Benefits available: Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off401(k)Employee DiscountFlexible SchedulePaid Training $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 Annually
