Registered Nurse - Pediatric Infusion

Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Registered Nurse – Pediatric Infusion at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California . Full time, services shall be provided Monday through Friday between the hours of 0600 and 2000. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period, including an uncompensated 30‑ to 60‑minute lunch break. No HCW will be required to provide services in excess of 80 hours per two‑week period. No federal holidays or weekends are expected. Opportunity to care for military men and women. Salary upwards of $85 per hour. Qualifications Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or a Diploma from a nursing program accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE. Or a graduate of a state accredited Pediatric Specific Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Program such as the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses course, with current Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse Certification and at least two years of demonstrated clinical experience in pediatric hematology/oncology nursing, vascular access and central line care and maintenance. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and APHON Chemo; recertification may be obtained through NMCSD. Maintenance of certification and competencies for the administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy agents to pediatric patients, including proficiency in administration and disposal of these agents. Proficient in venipuncture and maintaining intravascular access with thorough knowledge of parenteral equipment and intravenous therapy. Knowledge of common intravenous drugs and chemotherapy/biotherapy agents, including indications, pharmacologic properties, contraindications, dosing, side effects, complications, antidotes, incompatibilities, and treatment modalities. Graduate from a college or university accredited by the ACEN or CCNE. Active, unrestricted nursing license in any state, DC, Guam, Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands. #J-18808-Ljbffr
