Job Title: Assistant Controller
Location: Orlando, FL
Compensation: $130k-$150k plus bonus
Job Type: Full Time

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within healthcare or a regulated industry.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and SEC reporting.
Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams while driving process improvements.
Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, Lawson, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Manage month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency while reducing close time.
Support internal and external audits, preparing detailed schedules and documentation.
Strengthen internal controls and implement process enhancements across accounting functions.
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decisions.
Contribute to ERP system implementation and develop accounting policies that improve efficiency and compliance.
