About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care experience required License: Compact RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, CPR Must-Have: - Experience in acute care nursing - Comfort with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios - Ability to float within the facility as needed - Experience with Epic charting system Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Med-Surg/Tele. The nurse will work night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of acute care experience. First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have the requisite experience. Nurses will be responsible for caring for stroke, COVID-19, and general med-surg patients. This includes interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Nurses will engage in the use of Rapid Response/Code teams and provide peripheral line care. Isolation precautions and proper PPE usage are mandatory. The charting system used is Epic. Nurses may float between units and may travel to sister facilities as required. Licensed nurses are expected to comply with staffing and patient care needs, which may vary. Teamwork with interdisciplinary support staff is essential for optimal patient outcomes. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios.
