Training and Orientation: Develop and conduct comprehensive training programs. Volunteer Assignment & Supervision: Match volunteers with assignments and provide ongoing supervision. Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong communication and collaboration between volunteers, interdisciplinary team, and families. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, hours, and patient interactions, and produce regular reports. Recognition and Appreciation: Implement recognition programs to appreciate volunteers’ efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in Volunteer Management: Proven experience in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers in healthcare or hospice settings. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and engagement skills. Compassion and Empathy: Strong sense of empathy and compassion for families and individuals during end-of-life care. Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage schedules, assignments, and maintain accurate records.
