Job Description
The Dental Hygienist plays a vital role in oral health care, working closely within a small dental team and reporting directly to the Dentist. This position primarily focuses on preventative care while also performing some restorative procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain oral hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient oral health and medical history
- Perform teeth cleaning and preventive treatments
- Administer dental X-rays as required
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Sterilize and prepare dental equipment
- Collaborate effectively with dentists and the dental team
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
Preferred Qualifications
- State Dental Hygienist License
- CPR Certification
- Experience in dental prophylaxis
- Patient education skills
- Proficient in charting and documentation
