Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Valid Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
• Prior experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations strongly preferred
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with specialized medical needs
• Administer medications, provide direct nursing care, and respond to student health emergencies
• Conduct health screenings, including vision, hearing, and immunization compliance
• Serve as a health advocate and resource for students, staff, and families
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records per state and district guidelines
• Educate students and staff on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and chronic disease management
• Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and teachers to address student health barriers to learning
