Job Summary:
The Physician provides comprehensive medical care to patients at the facility This role requires collaboration with intra- and interdepartmental staff to ensure high-quality care in accordance with nationally recognized treatment standards, ODRC policies, and American Correctional Association guidelines.

Responsibilities:
•    Collaborate with intra- and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment using nationally recognized standards.
•    Document patient care using the electronic health record system.
•    Conduct physical examinations and prepare evaluations and reports.
•    Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
•    Manage patient medications.
•    Complete reclassifications and other reviews as indicated.
•    Make referrals for specialized care or treatment.
•    Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, and protocols.
•    Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings and activities, including peer reviews.
•    Engage in collaborative agreements as needed.
•    Manage a caseload of up to 2.5 patients per hour.

Required Qualifications:
•    OH state Medical License
•    Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine 
•    DEA Certification
•    BLS certification
