Surgical Technologist

Job Opportunity

Come join our exceptional Surgical team!! Will not be called in from home if on call!! Able to have a great quality of life! Provides technical support to the surgeon, registered nurses, and anesthesiologist in the operating room and works to create a safe and sterile environment before, during and after patient surgery. Performs tasks like:

• Ensures that all supplies and equipment needed for the procedure are present and in working order.
• Assists with inventory and pulling cases
• Sets up and maintains sterile field according to established practices
• Assists with patient positioning and draping
• Passes instruments, supplies and equipment to the surgeon
• Perform counts, prepare and handle sterile dressings
• Assist other team members with turn over of the operating room
• Ortho/spine experience preferred

Requirements:

Certification required 1-2 years experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of approved surgical technician program.

1-2 years experience

Current Healthcare BLS certification

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

Graduating from a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technologist program

Two (2) or more years of experience/Ortho/spine experience preferred.

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
