Core Industrial MaintenanceCore Industrial Maintenance is seeking experienced TIG Welders with a strong background in stainless steel pipe welding for industrial maintenance, fabrication, installation, and outage work.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform high-quality TIG/GTAW welding on stainless steel pipeFit, prep, and weld stainless piping according to drawings, specifications, and field measurementsPerform open-root and full-penetration pipe weldsProperly purge stainless steel pipe during welding when requiredWeld pipe in multiple positions, including 2G, 5G, and 6GRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and isometric piping drawingsMeasure, cut, bevel, fit, and prepare pipe for weldingInspect completed welds for quality and correct defects when necessaryAssist with pipe installation, fabrication, and other industrial maintenance duties as neededFollow all jobsite and facility safety proceduresMaintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean and organizedQualificationsPrevious industrial TIG pipe welding experience requiredStrong experience welding stainless steel pipeMust be able to produce clean, consistent welds that meet project specificationsExperience with schedule pipe and various pipe diametersAbility to pass a TIG stainless pipe weld test prior to placement when requiredKnowledge of proper stainless preparation, cleanliness, heat control, and purging proceduresAbility to read a tape measure and accurately perform pipe layout and fittingMust be able to work independently and as part of an industrial maintenance crewMust be dependable and able to work extended hours during outages and shutdownsOsha 10
