Salary Range: $66,338.76 - $89,557.02

The City of Attleboro seeks an Education Curator for Capron Park Zoo who, under the supervision of the Zoo Director, coordinates, implements, and promotes educational, conservation, and volunteer activities at Capron Park Zoo.

Duties include developing, implementing, promoting, and presenting educational programs for a variety of age groups. Develops and promotes partnerships with local schools and educational institutions. Develops and maintains a strategic plan for the Education Department that supports the Zoo's mission. Develops evaluation processes to measure the impact and effectiveness of educational programs. Serves as a resource for teachers, the public, and volunteers. Participates in seeking and applying for grant funding. Selects, trains, schedules, and supervises interns, regular and seasonal staff. Recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers for educational programs. Assists with the adoption sponsorship program by providing animal information. Performs related work as required.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related educational field and five years of experience in environmental educational programs, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Requires considerable knowledge of curriculum development and different and inclusive learning styles. Must possess the ability to handle exotic animals, supervise personnel and volunteers, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Knowledge of the objectives, methods, and techniques of modern zoo administration and word processing/publishing skills are also required.

A valid state driver's license is required. CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification, is required. Must have a negative TB test and the ability to receive rabies inoculations.
