Staff Engineer, Mobile Cross-platform

- Relevant skills and experience will be listed so you know why those jobs are a match Digital Farming Solutions at Bayer seeks a Staff Mobile engineer to join one of our regional dynamic Product delivery teams working in cloud based distributed environments. You will have the opportunity to work with large, "big data" sets such as scientific data, machine generated data from our farmer's equipment to geospatial data, precision agriculture, remote sensing, weather and or soil data. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role are to: Collaborate with Engineers, Data Analysts, Product Managers, and User Experience experts to craft an experience that will impact the face of farming. Work with an open, inclusive team engineers who are committed to continuous improvement, and quality. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. On our team we share knowledge, help each other learn new things, and thrive on making our code better. WHO YOU ARE 8+ years of software development experience 2+ years of experience building mobile applications with a cross-platform tool (Kotlin Multiplatform or React Native) Experience developing apps for iOS and Android platforms (Swift and Kotlin languages) Deep knowledge of architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC) Experience with releasing applications in the app stores Experience with git or other distributed version control systems Experience with testing and automation tools Good communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience Experience with C++ Experience with integrating with GraphQL APIs Experience with leading without authority Knowledge of secure mobile development principles Experience working with Product and Design to ship ground-breaking features Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $130k-180k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
