Help Desk Technician - Level 1

Vigilant Compliance is seeking a Level 1 Tech to join the internal IT team of their Firm. Based in Chadds Ford, PA, this position takes on internal tasks in a team-based work environment. Vigilant offers a competitive salary based on experience, annual base increases in salary, as well as paid holidays, vacation days, 401k with a match, and additional benefits.

Key Qualifications:

  • Entry level – 2 years of experience
  • Familiarity with principles of Helpdesk, RMM, and tenant management services
  • Familiarity with supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a digestible way
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for an internal IT team/department (RMM/PSA tools, multi-client environment)
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues
  • Manage and organize IT projects and help desk tickets
  • Assist users with information systems and programs as needed
  • Utilize an RMM and PSA product to monitor internal PCs and servers
  • Threat monitoring and patch management of internal and external environments
  • Regular reporting
  • Assist level 2 techs with tasks as needed
