Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling and Formwork

TAKTL LLC , the leading manufacturer of Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) architectural panels, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Tooling and Formwork to join our dynamic team. About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and carrying out the process of manufacturing urethane molds starting from the initial model all the way through integration to production. You will utilize CNC routers, woodworking equipment, and urethane casting equipment to create models and formwork for our standardized production process, incorporating custom textures and profiles in keeping with customer requirements. You will program CNC software, use drafting software to create shop drawings of molds, generate casting models out of a variety of solid materials, and be hands on in the urethane mold shop. You will also work closely with the production team to integrate molds into the casting process and into the inventory management system.

Successful candidates must be able to read and create shop drawings, and be skilled at machine operations, with at least basic woodworking skills. An exacting attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship are critical for this role.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to shape a manufacturing process, gain hands-on skills in a specialized industry, and work with a high level team bringing a novel building material to market. The position will be fully in-person at our facility in Turtle Creek, PA. Travel not required. Training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Cast urethane molds for use in a standardized production process
• Create models and tooling based on customer requirements
• Read and interpret shop drawings
• Create shop drawings for molds and formwork
• Interface with the rest of the team to identify problems, establish plans and schedules, and coordinate successful mold rollouts.
• Understand and apply critical product information, limitations, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Strategize with rest of team to develop comprehensive strategies for custom façade projects.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 2 + years of relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work 5 days per week at our facility in Turtle Creek, PA
