Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate to join its Supreme Court and Appellate Practice Group in Austin, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes appeals, key trial-court motions, and legal strategy with a nationally recognized team. Duties Collaborate with trial teams to frame and preserve issues for appeal. Prepare petitions for certiorari and craft merits and amicus briefs. Handle complex litigation and dispositive motions in lower courts. Engage in high-profile pro bono matters and cutting-edge legal issues. Requirements Completion of an appellate clerkship. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Experience in appellate litigation at a firm or in government service is preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the state bar. Skills Exceptional legal research and writing abilities. Strong oral advocacy skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
