Warehouse Supervisor YardWarehouse

PURPOSEDirects the activities of warehouse personnel including receiving stocking load building customer service and DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Oversees the safe and efficient handling of goods by employees operating forklifts or other machinery ensuring that employees receive the proper training and certification if necessary. Oversees and coordinates periodic inventory checks; prepares merchandise orders to ensure that identified stock levels meet merchandising requirements at all times; maintains record keeping system to provide immediate access to current stock information when needed. On occasion will perform the same duties as other yard duties may be RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has supervisory REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and five or more years of experience performing and coordinating yard or warehousing activities or equivalent combination of education and knowledge of warehouse operations and handling of all machinery and equipment; maintains certification to operate such if to plan and coordinate work processes to maintain and increase manpower and equipment efficiencyCommunication skills sufficient to speak before teams and work groups to explain work rules product standards and productivity goalsAbility to read and write work schedules and reportsKnowledge of basic math counting and estimatingCustomer service orientationProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteProficient in Dayforce preferredProficient in DDMS preferredWORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITYThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
