Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: AWHONN guidelines followed Must-Have: Labor management experience Experience circulating a cesarean section Description: Unit Information: Labor and Delivery unit Number of Beds: 18 Number of Staff: 54 Staffing Structure: Day Shift: 1 Charge or CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs, 1 HUC Night Shift: 1 Charge or CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs Patient Ratios: 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, Recovery 2-3 Antepartum patients We strive to follow AWHONN guidelines Equipment: GE fetal monitoring, EMR CPN, Meditech On Call Requirement: 1-2 shifts per schedule Floating Requirement: Yes, to mother-baby if needed, outside of women's as a resource only We are too busy to be floating these days! Typical Procedures: Vaginal delivery C-sections Triage Iron infusions Best Personality Fit: Must be kind and passionate about nursing Team players are essential Desire to provide the best patient outcomes is crucial No specific unit policies or guidelines attached.
