Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care while managing various emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department.
• Manage emergency cases including trauma, strokes, sepsis, congestive heart failure (CHF), and cardiac issues.
• Perform triage duties as required, along with managing ER holds.
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and healthcare team members.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation and patient management.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret ECG rhythms, providing necessary interventions.
• Adhere to established protocols for safety, infection control, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and either PALS or ENPC.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high patient volumes (approximately 80-90 patients per day).
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends, as required.

• Emergency Room unit with 24 beds and 3 trauma bays.
• Ratios of 1 nurse to 4 patients.
• In-house security available for enhanced safety.
• Self-scheduling options for shifts including days and nights.
• Orientation specific to unit/department to ensure all staff are well-prepared.

Equipment and Support

• Access to respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPap, and high flow systems.
• X-ray and CT services available adjacent to the ER.
• Phlebotomy services provided by technicians or registered nurses.
