Events Manager

Description Full time Opportunity While some businesses have slowed, home improvement is BOOMING! At Renewal by Andersen, we’re having trouble keeping up with all the opportunities to generate leads at events, festivals, farmers markets, home shows and retail locations. In this role, you will be required to split your time between the office and travel to various events & retail sites to perform as a brand ambassador and occasionally as the supervisor on duty. In the office you will assist the Event Lead with recruiting, hiring, and training of Event Marketing Promoters as well as being trained on how to reach out to various events to lock down vendor and sponsorship agreements. Duties in the office will include assisting with new hire training, sitting in on 1 on 1’s, scheduling team members, and preparing supplies for the team as well as assisting the event manager and event lead with finding events in Charleston and Hilton Head. While out of the office you will be making site visits at assigned events as well as setting up at events and hiring fairs. At the site visits you will do onsite training with Event Marketing Promoters, which will include lead generation. This role is essentially an “Event Lead-in-training” to prepare you to be promoted to an event lead within eight to twelve months. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE To foster a culture of positive reinforcement at each event/retail location Work/supervise events every weekend Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training of brand ambassadors Assisting with the researching and booking of events/retail locations Ensuring all RBA lead setting policies and procedures are in place and being followedeven at risk of losing an appointment Keep a positive, competitive atmosphere between event agents Point of contact for all event agents on location Be actively working whenever your team is working, not just on call, but ideally be out in the field site visiting. If not, you are still expected to be ready to go out in the field if a rep needs extra supplies (app reminders, coupons, event/retail equipment). When necessary, taking on the responsibilities of the call center to ensure the appointment is qualified (time commitment, two party commitments) and setting a date time. Conduct in person 1 on 1’s with your team to provide extra coaching and performance management. Set up, execute, and break down of events as needed Provide Senior Manager with consumer feedback and information for event recaps Maintain professionalism at all times Keep track of inventory and ensure display materials in good working order. WHAT YOU'LL BRING| THE PERSON Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to listen Minimum of 1 year in a Leadership role supporting teams of 5-10 outside agents Experience in Marketing, Sales, and or a performance related position Flexibility and demonstrated ability to adapt well in a changing environment Microsoft Experience Able to conduct research, work under tight deadlines, develop and organize information Be data driven; ability to tell a story based on qualitative and quantitative data Ability to find resolution, deliver difficult feedback and advise management Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation Must be able to lift, bend, step up, and kneel Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Compensation We offer an hourly base plus UNCAPPED BONUSES. This is a full-time position 40 hours a week with possibility of OT and must be able to work on weekends and being on call. Since you will be traveling to various locations with set up materials, reliable transportation is required! We provide mileage reimbursement. Compensation includes: $21/ hour plus a lucrative commission structure. Multiple bonus opportunities! Experience in customer service, sales or marketing experience would be preferred. With a desire to learn, grow and make connections with people and lead training session's.
