Interior Design Professional

Shive-Hattery has an immediate opening at our Quad Cities office in Bettendorf, Iowa for an architectural Design Professional with approximately 3 years of professional experience. This new team member will work under the direction of the Studio Leader and will perform a variety of duties associated with design expertise on multiple project types, assist in achieving desired client satisfaction, and contribute to business results. Participation in applicable AIA, NCARB, and/or community activities is preferred. Required Experience Entry level position and applies to individuals with approximately 3 years of experience. Completion of accredited professional degree program with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, or equivalent in appropriate education and experience. Knowledge of design of architectural systems, construction documentation, and associated technology. A demonstrated aptitude for critical, creative thinking associated with complex problem solving and design. Proven understanding of architectural detailing, construction documentation, life safety code, and accessibility requirements. Proven communication skills. Previous experience working as a member of an architectural or multi-discipline team, taking a project from design through construction. Some experience leading a small team is preferred. A self‑motivated, creative professional interested in and capable of working independently to solve complex problems while working effectively with team members both local and remote. A strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Sketch, and Enscape are beneficial but not required. Responsibilities Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, collaboration, and design work in drawing, model, and 3D image formats. Production and coordination of design processes and technical documents under the direction of a licensed design professional. Creation of graphical images. Design and detailing in Revit. Attend project and client meetings with design professionals. Interact with and represent the company to clients and contractors as it relates to ongoing projects. Why Shive-Hattery?
