Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant at the Medical University of South Carolina supports providers in a fast-paced academic health center. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals and histories, assisting with exams and minor procedures, administering medications and immunizations per protocol, performing basic lab tests, and accurately documenting in the EMR. The CMA also coordinates appointments, manages patient calls, and supports care teams.
