Pharmacist in Charge in Coatesville, PA

An interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is needed for a specialized 10-bed micro-hospital and emergency department facility. This contract role provides a unique opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a focused, small-scale setting, managing both inpatient and emergency care pharmacy services.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist on site, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations
• Perform PIC duties including audits, inventory management, and medication restocking
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems to support pharmacy workflow
• Provide on-call coverage with minimal expected call-ins during weekdays
• Collaborate remotely with local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and guidance

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license is required
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience essential for success in this role
• Ability to work independently without onsite technician support
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems is highly beneficial

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift coverage
• Contract dates: May 18 through June 30, with potential extension
