Product Designer

Perlman Clinic’s mission is to make healthcare easy and available. We’ve been at this since 2005 when our first primary care location opened in San Diego, CA. Our specialty offerings have grown to include mental health therapy, psychiatry, weight management, and more which are available between our growing clinic count and through telemedicine. We're looking for a mid-level Product Designer who can independently own features end-to-end and bring strong product instincts to a healthcare context. What you’ll be doing: Own features from brief to ship - including scoping, flows, high-fidelity designs, edge cases, and handoff, and facilitating adoption. Contribute product ideas and push back with clear rationale when a direction isn't right for users or the business. Design thoughtful micro-interactions, motion, and feedback states that make healthcare workflows feel clear and trustworthy. Connect your design decisions to business goals and use qualitative and quantitative data to validate or refine your work. Work fluently within our design system, creating polished, consistent flows independently. Support user research efforts - interviews, usability tests, and data analysis - and translate findings into concrete design decisions. Present work confidently to engineers, clinical staff, and other cross-functional partners. Give and receive structured critique. Apply growing domain knowledge of healthcare or a related field to make better design decisions. Who you are: 2–5 years of product design experience, with a portfolio showing independently owned features shipped end-to-end. Fluent with a design system; your work is polished and consistent without needing heavy review. You spot and solve edge cases on your own. You can connect design choices to user needs and business outcomes; you're not just making things look good. You flag blockers early and manage your own scope across concurrent projects. Strong communicator: you can present work clearly, defend decisions with rationale, and engage in real critique. Comfortable with some ambiguity, but effective at defining scope and moving forward on it. You're receptive to feedback from leadership and incorporate it without losing momentum. Nice to have, but not required: Experience designing for healthcare, clinical workflows, or other regulated/high-stakes domains. Contributions to a design system (creation, maintenance, or documentation). Familiarity with telemedicine products or scheduling systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr Perlman Clinic
