JOB SUMMARY:

\n

The Senior Project Manager oversees the project team. This position works closely with a cast of consultants from every discipline, liaises with the client, and acts as the central organizer of these players from ideation through to realization of the client’s vision. This position is also responsible for managing and maintaining client relationships and projects.

\n

\n

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

\n

• Develop and adhere to firm standards and monitor projects against design and contract

\n

requirements to ensure quality.

\n

• Coordinate and oversee all technical activities with relation to projects, including directing

\n

the design team, reviewing drafts and computer models, and approving design changes.

\n

• Coordinate with project team on relevant tasks and maintain weekly status reports for multiple projects.

\n

• Communicate directly with principals, managers and production staff to discuss and organize projects from conceptual design through construction.

\n

• Oversees staffing project teams with architectural personnel as needed and provides overall management of project team.

\n

• Track the production of construction documents and close gaps in the design.

\n

• Preparation of proposals, estimating resources to start new projects.

\n

• Mentor subordinate colleagues to realize their potential and provide quality output.

\n

• Remain up to date with current and trending elements of design, construction, and technology including attending professional development courses and events as time permits.

\n

• Innovate and develop new standards, policies, and procedures for architectural design work as necessary to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

\n

• Develop fees and proposals including reviewing and negotiating with owner’s representative or client.

\n

• Track project budget and billing and coordinate invoicing with administration.

\n

• Perform other related duties as required.

\n

\n

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

\n

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

\n

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a dedicated Project Manager working at a commercial architectural firm under the tutelage of a principal.

\n

• Experience with corporate interiors, tech and labs is important.

\n

• Extensive experience in producing project budgets and schedules.

\n

• Experience in reviewing Construction bids and project contracts.

\n

• Extensive construction administration experience.

\n

\n

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

\n

• Knowledge of Revit, Procore, and Blue Beam preferred.

\n

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.

\n

• IBC/ANSI Code knowledge required.

\n
