Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license valid in the state of Iowa (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is a plus
- Exceptional communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for referred students
- Develop and implement individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative student support planning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress reports
- Offer guidance and training to staff and families regarding communication strategies
