Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Weirton, West Virginia. This role involves providing clinical care on a Medical Surgical Floor. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of work. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience, but first-time travelers are also welcome to apply.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekends as scheduled.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, at least 1 year of experience (or willingness to accept first-time travelers).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates may be asked to participate in holiday rotations; holidays are assigned based on a rotation schedule for registered nurses. PCTs do not have scheduled holidays but work if it lands on their scheduled day.
• Position Responsibilities: Monitoring vital signs, blood glucose levels, electrocardiograms, applying heart monitors, assisting with bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and positioning patients.
• Equipment and Procedures: RNs may supervise respiratory therapy equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen; typically, RNs monitor and troubleshoot while respiratory therapists perform checks.
• Shift & Scheduling: Shifts are scheduled by the manager without self-scheduling or block scheduling. Flexibility is required to fill gaps in the permanent schedule, including rotating day/night shifts every two weeks.
