Inside Sales Representative

Job Summary Combines inside sales/customer service and technical/systems knowledge to sell products, services, and solutions to new and existing customers through a variety of inbound and outbound multimedia communications (e.g., telephone, email, fax, portals). Develops and manages trusted relationships for assigned customers/accounts, promotes company options, identifies sales opportunities, and consistently delivers revenue that supports financial sales metrics. Principal Responsibilities Delivers solutions or finds new opportunities for a positive customer experience using independent judgment and sales methodology. Initiates and responds to sales inquiries from prospective and existing customers to promote product offerings. Responds promptly and accurately to customer information requests. Monitors and follows up on sales activities to exceed customer requirements from initial contact to order fulfillment. Maintains and expands sales with existing accounts through high‑level customer service and knowledge. Coordinates sales efforts and strategies with internal resources such as product, materials, field sales, and suppliers. Communicates current product information, provides accurate pricing, quotes, and input on final solutions. Coordinates customer requirements for inventory, delivery lead time, and unit prices. Performs additional duties as assigned. Job Level Specifications Extensive knowledge of organization, practices, and procedures, enabling high contribution. Completes complex assignments requiring significant judgment, initiative, and problem‑solving skills. Works independently with minimal guidance, using judgment to determine the best approach. Collaborates with internal or external contacts on special assignments. Actions may significantly impact the department and others; errors can result in loss of business, materials, or time. Work Experience Requires a minimum of five years of related experience. Education and Certification High School Diploma or equivalent. Distinguishing Characteristics Expert knowledge of customer needs, products, and complex business services. Ability to identify qualified customers for inclusion in Avnet’s portfolio of complex accounts. May be required to travel to customer sites or attend training, including overnight travel. Advanced knowledge of systems such as SAP, ERP, order management. Proficient Excel skills for problem solving, formulas, analysis, formatting, and data manipulation.
