Overview
Registered Nurse - Operating Room, traveling assignment available in Burlington, Vermont. Start date: 06/29/2026. Duration: 13–16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,908–$2,978 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12 rotating (12-hour shifts; day/evening). Setting: hospital operating room. This assignment requires experience in a large, academic teaching environment with 500+ beds and cardiovascular/open heart procedures.

Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative patient care as a circulating nurse; assist the surgical team and maintain sterile technique
- Support cardiovascular/open heart procedures with high competency and adaptability to related cases
- Manage instrument sets, equipment, and supplies; anticipate needs during surgery
- Monitor patient status and document in the EMR during all phases of the operative process
- May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.); when floated, circulating duties apply and scrubbing is not routinely required
- Collaborate with anesthesia, physicians, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care

Requirements
- Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years OR RN experience with recent cardiovascular/open heart case exposure
- Setting experience: Large (500+ beds), academic, teaching hospital experience required
- Travel experience: Prior travel assignment experience required
- EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
- Schedule details: CVOR OR blocks may include 10-hour days (0645–1715) or 12-hour days (0645–1915); must be flexible with weekday calls and weekend coverage as unit needs require
