Cnc Lathe Set Up Operator - 1st Or 2nd Shift

Wage: $22.00 - $35.00/hour

Shift: 1st or 2nd

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Cnc Lathe Set Up Operator Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications

- Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance

- Perform tool changes, offsets and basic program edits as needed

- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

- Ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances

- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and make necessary adjustments

- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment

- Collaborate with team members, supervisors and quality personnel to meet production goals

Requirements For Cnc Lathe Set Up Operator:

- High school diploma or GED required

- 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathe machines (setup experience preferred)

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings

- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and materials

- Experience with measuring tools and quality inspection processes

- Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time

- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs

- Manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
