We are seeking an individual with experience working in a fast-paced highway construction environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities, such as fiber optic cables and electrical conduits. You will be responsible for ensuring precise and accurate drilling operations to meet project specifications and requirements. This includes setting up and operating the drilling equipment, monitoring drilling progress, and maintaining equipment and tools in good working condition.

- Set up and operate directional drilling equipment, including directional drills, mud mixing systems, and support equipment.
- Review and interpret project plans, maps, and specifications to determine drilling requirements and locate underground utilities.
- Perform pre-drilling site surveys and stakeout to identify and mark the drilling path.
- Operate drilling equipment to drill underground bores according to project specifications, including horizontal, vertical, and angled bores.
- Monitor drilling progress using electronic tracking systems, surveying instruments, and other equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any drilling-related issues or obstacles that may arise during operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate drilling activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, including daily reports, as-built drawings, and project documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications:
- Five years experience operating a JT30. PAY NEGOTIABLE BASED ON PROVEN EXPERIENCE.
- Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working in close proximity to a high volume of fast-moving traffic.
