Senior Associate - Sustainable Finance and Impact

Advisory and consulting: We advise public and private sector clients to help them design and execute innovations to improve social and environmental performance and value. Platform Management: We design and manage platforms for third parties to help test new solutions with the potential for scale. Finance: We design, structure and channel innovative finance to help clients generate greater social and environmental value and impact. Data and analytics: We support clients with impact and performance measurement. We offer expertise and experience across a range of topics and functions, including public-private-partnerships (PPPs), impact investing, social impact bonds, impact measurement, ESG and conservation finance. We are currently involved in a range of projects related to social innovation, impact investing, impact bonds and environmental finance. About the job We are looking for impressive and highly motivated individuals with a passion for international development, impact investing and sustainability for multiple positions to be part of the founding team of our Miami office. You will be part of a dynamic and evolving organization and be asked to provide a range of technical and project management functions to our projects. Key Responsibilities Structure data analyses and apply relevant statistical concepts to support quantitative analysis and modeling for client engagements, as appropriate to the candidate’s experience. Build financial models; conduct financial, investment, and due-diligence analyses; and contribute to the design of innovative financing products and structures. Conduct literature reviews, market research, and policy analyses, synthesizing findings into clear, actionable insights. Draft term sheets and prepare high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, pitch decks, analytical briefs, and market insights. Propose and contribute to internal research initiatives and special client assignments. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, investors, service providers, and other stakeholders. Support the design of results-based financing projects by identifying key activities, performance indicators, evaluation metrics, and appropriate measurement methodologies. Plan and facilitate remote and in-person fact-finding activities, including stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and small-scale surveys. Provide tailored technical assistance to frontline organizations to strengthen operational processes, performance management, information systems, and monitoring and evaluation capabilities required to execute results-based contracts successfully. Prepare analyses, recommendations, and reporting materials for investment committees, independent boards, and other decision-making bodies. Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and conferences Candidate Profile and Qualifications Two to five years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, investment analysis, or a quantitatively rigorous role within a leading international development institution, such as the World Bank or IFC. Preference for candidates who have completed a formal analyst training program covering financial analysis and modeling, research, structured problem-solving, due diligence, and executive-level communication. Advanced degree in economics, business, finance, data science, international affairs, public policy, or a related field. Demonstrated interest in impact investing, international development, and generating measurable social and environmental outcomes. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in data analysis and quantitative statistical methods is an advantage. Exceptional analytical and communication skills, including the ability to research unfamiliar topics quickly, synthesize complex information, and present clear, actionable conclusions. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required, including experience building financial models and producing polished client deliverables. Experience with data visualization tools as well as emerging artificial intelligence tools is plus. Excellent written and spoken English is required. Fluency in a second language. Experience working in developing countries or emerging markets, combined with a strong interest in social and environmental issues. Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, a collaborative and collegial working style, and a demonstrated ability to incorporate feedback into work and professional development.
