Heersink School of Medicine – Open Rank/Open Tenure – Department of Urology Title: Heersink School of Medicine – Open Rank/Open Tenure – Department of Urology Assignment Category: Full‑Time Rank: Open Rank Payroll Status: Faculty 12 Job Description UAB Heersink School of Medicine – Department of Urology is recruiting for two positions: Urologist: Expertise in medical and surgical management of complex kidney stone disease. Will join a group of Urologists in a collaborative academic environment. Focus on kidney stone disease, participate in general urology and trauma call, perform percutaneous nephrostolithotomy. Experience in robotics and benign urologic disease is a plus. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and collaboration with colleagues. Pediatric Urologist: Expertise in complex urologic reconstruction. Focus on pediatric urology, call at Children’s of Alabama, care adult patients with congenital urologic disease. Must have pediatric urology fellowship training, proficiency in robotic surgery. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and collaboration with colleagues. Required Qualifications MD and eligible to be licensed in Alabama. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work with heavy clinical volume at UAB, the VA, Kirklin Clinic, and/or Children’s of Alabama.
