Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.The Video Production Manager supports the execution of all video production initiatives for Varsity Spirit under the direction of the Sr. Director of Video Production. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day production operations, coordinating crews and content capture, and delivering high-quality video assets across live broadcasts, social platforms, and marketing campaigns.This position focuses on execution and operational excellence while supporting the Sr. Director in delivering large-scale productions, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining production standards.Responsibilities of this position include:Production Execution and SupportSupport the Sr. Director in executing video production projects from concept through completionAssist with writing, producing, shooting, and managing edit workflowsEnsure all deliverables meet established creative and brand standards, and are delivered in a timely mannerLive Event and Broadcast SupportSupport ESPN and ION (PCL) show execution, including pre-production planning and onsite coordinationAssist with vendor coordination and production logistics for live broadcasts and streamingProvide on-site production support at Varsity Spirit and Varsity All Star eventsEvent Crewing and Field ProductionCoordinate freelance crew for competitions, camps, and special event-based shootsExecute crewing plans, including travel and hotel arrangementsCreate on-site shoot and edit schedules for event crewGenerate and coordinate pre-event video lists for hotels and competition venuesSupport capture of features, highlights, and event contentContent and Post-Event ManagementProduce social-first content in partnership with social and marketing teamsOrganize and maintain production assets in alignment with archive standardsMarketing Video ExecutionExecute production of marketing videos for summer camps, competitions, and apparelCollaborate with marketing teams to translate campaign needs into video deliverablesSupport pre-production planning including locations, talent, and shoot logisticsProduction Operations and CoordinationSupport budget tracking and cost management under direction of the Sr. Director (no ownership of budgets)Assist with equipment logistics including transport and basic maintenanceCoordinate with external vendors and freelancers as directedMaintain production documentation, schedules, and project trackingQUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIESCreativity, passionate, energetic, and driven by integrityCollaborative team player who works independently and meets deadlinesStrong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple prioritiesProven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and quality controlAdaptable and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong execution, accountability, and follow-throughExcels in fast-paced production environmentsCollaborative, responsive, and receptive to directionConsistent delivery of high-quality video assets on scheduleEfficient execution of live event production support and crew coordinationStrong alignment with production standardsPositive feedback from stakeholders and production partnersEDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE5–8 years of video production experience, ideally in live television broadcasting or live production environmentsExperience supporting sports, entertainment, or live event productionsStrong organizational and project management skillsBachelors Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communication, English or related fieldPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This job operates in a professional environment while often working at remote locations.
